Hi everyone,

We're the team behind Grail to the Thief, an interactive audio adventure for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux that can be played using only sound, without the need for visuals. The game has been designed with the needs of the blind and visually impaired in mind but is designed to be enjoyed by everyone. The game will deliver an exciting, immersive experience in which the player will always be fully aware of what is happening through the use of voice-overs, sound effects, ambient sound and music. We recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund development on the game, and would appreciate it if you could pledge your support.

The game stars Hank Krang, a thief from the future, and his self-aware time machine, TEDI, as they go throughout time stealing priceless artifacts. In Grail to the Thief, Hank and TEDI travel to Arthurian times in search of the Holy Grail.

The Kickstarter campaign and link to a playable prototype of Grail to the Thief can be found at:

We would love to hear your comments and suggestions after you've had a chance to play the prototype.

My boyfriend came across this yesterday and got me to play it. I'm using Chrome and Jaws 14 on a Windows 8. After each passage, I had to hit insert escape, a keystroke that refreshes the screen content for Jaws in order for the text to show me the updated choices.

The dialogue is so great. the game made me laugh in several place, which is always a plus. I enjoy the ambient sounds; so much more immersive to have background sounds going on.

Adventuregamers.com (a website devoted to mainstream, sighted adventure games featured an article about this. It's really nice to see it placed here, and I urge all of us interested in gaming of any kind to slip them a donation. $8000 is a very modest kickstarter goal. It's worth it even if this particular ventre doesn't appeal, because it would help show there is a market for this sort of thing.

We're almost halfway to being funded ($3,994 at the time of writing this) and have 12 days to go before the campaign is over. If you are interested in what we're doing, please pledge your support and ask your family and friends to do the same. We need your help to make this happen!
